Audbon's Aviary Giveaway

We live on a lake and watch the migration spring and winter as well as the birds during the year. I am going to retire this December and hope to spend many hours watching the activity and also birding in our area, as well as go on trips to high sighting areas. We would love to display this beautiful copy of Audbon's Aviary on our table

Birds and more birds.

My father taught me the everyday common birds we had in Texas where I grew up. The red bird with his beautiful red coat with his head tuft and his mate was just as beautiful. The loud call of the bluejay defending his or her nest. The little brown sparrow taking a dirt bath in the sand. Anyway, he would show me these birds and more in an Audobon book that was at my grandparents house that we would visit at the holidays. Sadley, I was not able to retrieve the book when he pasted away. I will always remember him showing me the birds in the book and listening for their call.

This publication is quite a treasure with its exquisite watercolors of birds, notes from Audubon himself, and the story behind the collection of works.

Present for a bird watcher

This book would be a wonderful birthday gift for my daughter who is an avid birdwatcher. When I took her trekking in Nepal she spent her time with the sherpas birdwatching and sharing her bird book with them.
