I have a deep affection for owls - last summer at our cottage, I was a witness to a burrowing owlelet and also had the pleasure of meeting Mom about 1 month later - she was not impressed by my presence to say the least, also later in the summer, my husband and I were witness to a great horned owl - my god, what a sight that was...my neck was sore from just looking, it was so high up the tree we had to use binoulars...also we had warning calls from the crows that is was in the area - never heard that before either. The owl has come to have a very special place in my heart, and we will keep protecting our burrowing owl home until it decides to live elsewhere :)

Owl Print Contest

I volunteer at the Wildlife Center of Texas in Houston. I just love working with the orphaned and injured owls that we get. Our goal is rehabilitate and release back to where they belong, free in the wild. I would love to have this print to donate for our next open house for fund raising. We are a 501c nonprofit and get no funding. Its all by donations. This print is beautiful!

I just saw one of these awesome owls at a raptor show at the Festival of Cranes in Decatur, Alabama. They are huge, and beautiful!
