GIANT STRIP MINE THREATENS ALASKA'S ICONIC BRISTOL BAY

For Gods sake, National Audubon, post some prominent actions links right on the first page of the article. So many of us these days are short of money AND time! Don't you know that by now? I could NOT find an action item until I had read the whole four pages, searching for one. Thanks. You do great work, and you can count on me.

Who do we contact to voice

Who do we contact to voice our outrage on this plan. Can you possibly start a petition from the Audubon Society that we could all sign and get it to the right people.

Giant Strip Mine Threatens Alaska's Iconic Bristol Bay

Pick the worst place on the planet for a giant strip mine, in the heart of America’s wildest and most productive ecosystem. That’s exactly where one is planned.
How can anyone allow for this planned mining monstrosity in a pristine environment? It is utter madness...

Bristol Bay

This situation is such an outrage. This kind of arrogance on the part of big money permeates nearly every part of our current society. They have no interest in doing what’s best for the people of the country, the stewardship of the environment that sustains us all, or making the world a better place. It is all about acquiring personal wealth. These are the elements that erode our society and we need checks against such greed. It seems our institutions that have been set up to protect us have been adulterated by big money. I believe the divisive politics we see today are intentionally created to serve as smoke screens for the abuse of big money. Thank you Ted Williams for your enlightened investigation and reporting on this, and other issues. We can’t protect ourselves if we don’t know about the assaults.
