Crossley Raptor Guide

I have recently purchased a camera and photographing birds. It is not easy. Do the authors describe their techniques for finding the raptors and what cameras and lenses they used in their book?

Nothing like seeing a sitting raptor and still not being able to identify it - this would really help!

I teach at an elementary

I teach at an elementary school where we get to watch Raptors every day. We have a family of great horned owls nest thing at the edge of our playground. We daily see red tailed hawk and American kestrels also.

Difficult to identify!

I have several pictures now of high flying raptors, their plummage all seems to be very similar. This would really help!

Crossley raptor book

This book is just what I need to study before my outings to Hawk Mountain.f

I love watching the raptor sailing high in the sky, drifting on the winds, wings and feathers angled as he searches out his prey. The awe inspiring power of his wing span is unmistakable! It's so thrilling to see him maneuver once he spots his prey, and equally thrilling to observe him as he positions himself to carry his meal to a safe place. The Crossley ID Guide: Raptors is a wonderful way to further our knowledge of these amazing creatures.
